About me

I strive to be a compassionate, respectful and curious practitioner, to create a safe space where the people I work with can speak freely and honestly. Since completion of my doctoral training at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neurosciences (IOPPN), King’s College London, I have worked across a range of clinical (NHS/Private) and academic contexts; publishing peer-reviewed research into mental health and receiving specialist, post-qualification training in a variety of therapeutic approaches. I am experienced in delivering treatments for:

  • Depression, low mood

  • Repetitive negative thinking (rumination)

  • Relationship difficulties

  • Emotion dysregulation

  • Self-harm

  • Impulsivity

  • Personality disorder

  • Complex, childhood trauma

  • Excessive worrying and overthinking (generalised anxiety)

  • Panic and panic attacks

  • Social anxiety

  • Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)

  • Health anxiety

  • Phobias

  • Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)

Therapeutic models I work with include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Compassion-Focussed Therapy (CFT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Mindfulness-based therapies and Schema Therapy. I have a special interest in using DBT, Schema therapy and EMDR approaches.

In addition to my work as a Clinical Psychologist, I am currently a Senior Clinical Research Fellow at University College London (UCL). Prior to this I was a Teaching Fellow and NIHR Clinical Research Training Fellow (also at UCL). These roles have involved lecturing on postgraduate courses on Low Intensity Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) interventions and conducting research into trauma memory and novel interventions for post-traumatic stress disorder, anxiety and psychosis.
